About me

I'm Awesh Islam, an AI & Full-Stack Engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I specialize in building production AI systems — RAG pipelines, autonomous agents, and agentic workflows — on top of backends that hold up under real traffic.

I'm currently a Software Engineer at Priyo, where I engineer cross-border fintech wallet infrastructure and AI-driven products. Before that I led backend for a platform serving 100,000+ users at ACS Future School and consulted for US-based AI startups on RAG, SOC 2 compliance, and Kubernetes infrastructure.

I love the part of engineering where research meets shipping — which is probably why I keep ending up at hackathons. I've won an international AI hackathon, multiple national ones, and a fistful of math, physics & programming olympiad medals along the way. Known among peers as “The AI”, I'm always chasing the next thing to learn.

I also teach — physics to thousands of higher-secondary students at Udvash, and C/C++ to 1,300+ undergrads at BUET. Teaching keeps my fundamentals sharp and is honestly some of the most rewarding work I do.

Outside of code, I travel, write about what I build, and tinker with side projects. This site is where all of that lives.
